Question 1 of 5

Why anger moves

It didn't disappear. It went underground.

Here is the idea from the post. When anger gets shut down early, it can come out as something else. Three common forms:

Sadness

Heaviness, tears that arrive with no clear cause, a lump in the throat.

The anger turned inward.

Worry

A head that rehearses and replays, a clenched jaw, a body that stays braced.

The anger turned into watching.

Flatness

Numb, wiped out, getting through the day on autopilot.

The anger went quiet.

You were not born anxious. You were born with emotions, and taught which ones were allowed. From the post

An honest note about the name. The post called this old Viking practice "Galdr Reidi." Several of you asked for a source, and that is fair. Galdr is the Old Norse word for chanted verse and spells. The practice here is a modern one, inspired by that idea. It is not a documented historical ceremony, and it is not a treatment for anything. What it asks of you is simple: name the anger, say it out loud, and stay with it.

Say what you were not allowed to say.
